The divine name, "I Am" or "He Is", expresses God's faithfulness: despite the faithlessness of men's sin and the punishment it deserves, he keeps "steadfast love for thousands". By going so far as to give up his own Son for us, God reveals that he is "rich in mercy". By giving his life to free us from sin, Jesus reveals that he himself bears the divine name: "When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will realize that 'I AM'. One must ask for this precious gift for oneself and for others. They are a wonderfully rich grace for the apostolic vitality and for the holiness of the entire Body of Christ, provided they really are genuine gifts of the Holy Spirit and are used in full conformity with authentic promptings of this same Spirit, that is, in keeping with charity, the true measure of all charisms. Man and woman were created to love and to be loved. The burning desire for love in the human heart cannot be extinguished by any earthly power. It is when we look for love "in all the wrong places", as the popular song goes, that unhappiness results. Wes Porter, a professor at Golden Gate University School of Law, was inspired by Judge Tina Habas's recent View from the Bench: The Missing Link blog post. His thoughtful and responsive post follows:I printed out Judge Habas's post for my Litigation Center bulletin board immediately. Judge Habas has identified both a universal goal in modern legal education and a critical distinction between advocacy/skills courses and doctrinal courses. " This idea is not mine. The occupants are seemingly oblivious to her presence. One by one they rise from their desks and succumb to the strange fidgety conniptions of a danse macabre. Under the stress of these fitful, brittle movements their limbs break off and fall to the floor, where the shadows move in to devour them. Noses and ears quickly wither, lips peel back to reveal broken teeth, eyeballs shrivel in their sockets. The pretty, dark-haired actress continues to stare into the camera with a stern expression. Nothing of significance went down at KGO on Friday, at least nothing of significance yet something, I do believe, is on the radar. First off, Cumulus sent Atlanta suits to SF to talk to all the on-air hosts at KGO and KSFO. Of course they won't admit as such because that would require them to admit their colossal mistake and blunder of radio mass proportions. Here's what I believe is going to transpire. I think they're going to bring forth a sort of hybrid. They will stick with news but they're also going to bring in some talk shows during the week. This is all in the planning stages. I began sketching the layout last October and am THRILLED it's finally ready!! I have tweaked, adjusted, fixed, fussed and redone it until it was perfect. Well. How is it already the week before Christmas? I feel terribly busy and overwhelmed, trying to get everything together before we head out-of-town for the holidays. Anyways, since I didn't get these to you on Friday, here are this week's Etsy favorites. Borders are the history of violence made visible on our maps. The British want to leave the EU, France is now spelled with just two As, and Greece keeps bubbling away on the back burner. Supply and demand seems a rather harmless expression, until demand is an angry mob in the streets.
Job security for lawyers.
Horse Manure: Farmers are finding fertilizers difficult to buy this spring. The continuing shortage of natural gas in the US has driven urea / ammonium manufacturing overseas. Potassium is found in a very few places. Good thing food doesn't count in the CPI. Hello everyone, I'm here with another card that was inspired by yesterday's new Art Impressions challenge. I kept my cards very simple and I think the embossing gave them just the right amount of zing with the image and verses being the real shining stars of the cards. 'Tis the season to get out your favorite Christmas & winter books! Here is a list of sixteen books that my students absolutely LOVE, and some fun resources to go with each one! THE POLAR EXPRESS This Christmas classic is written by Chris Van Allsburg. It is a Caldecott Medal award winner, and has been translated into stage productions and a movie. WISHY-WASHY'S CHRISTMAS We LOVE Mrs. Wishy-Washy, and this adorable book features Mrs. Wishy-Washy and her animal friends. Only three days left in the Spring to Finish challenge. The border is on Jess's quilt, so I plan to prep the backing and get it layered today. Maybe start quilting? I want to do some "custom" quilting, not an all-over stipple, so I probably won't finish by Thursday. I think I can finish my first quarter wall hanging with the January, February and March Tisket/Tasket Baskets. I just finished the embroidery on the February block. The bright sun makes the blue birds appear even brighter in the photo than in reality. I'm having trouble with the handle and top corners of the baskets matching up, which I think I can fix in the next block. Maybe I can catch up before the May block is posted. A girl can dream! The big magnolia next to the driveway is much healthier this year, thanks to the Jobe's tree spikes. I love how the leaves sprout from the base of the buds. I saw a great photo on someone else's blog of a bee polinating a flower. There were three bumblers on this PJM rhodedendron in the late afternoon sun. My husband David had some business up in Gonzales, Texas today and asked if I wanted to go along for the ride. Well of course I did because I love going anywhere I have not been before. Although we did not stay for lunch, I wish we had because the special was chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans.
The place was full of real cowboys and their families and I heard the food was good. Now this is not just a restaurant.
No mam, it's also a place where livestock is sold. It's the Gonzales Livestock Market and the place was packed. The parking lot was full of pickups and cattle trailers.
This is the back of the restaurant.
I received an email last week asking why I do the work I do.The person who sent it said I seem to be a bit obsessive and that at my stage of life, I should be doing less. She said I should sit back and enjoy life a bit more. I'm sure she meant well. It's an ongoing goal of mine to enjoy every day and I am conscious of that every waking hour, probably more than most people are. One of the many significant things I get from the work I do and living simply is a sense of purpose. That feeling is enough to get me out of bed in the morning, it fires me up to work in my home, grow food, cut back when others are buying more and every day I appreciate being able to do the work I need to do to give me the life I want. When I was working for a living, I knew my purpose - it was to earn money so I could buy everything I needed and wanted. I wish I'd thought deeper about my life back then because I think it is possible to live simply and work for a living, and many of you do that. This from ostenard. Deborah Beale, wife and business partner of Tad Williams, has released this statement: “Book one of Tad Williams’ ‘The Last King of Osten Ard’ isn’t in in the DAW spring schedule owing to pressures arising from the integration of Penguin/Random House. We will know more about that after Tad’s September meeting with his publishers. “Beyond this, we have been focussed on a number of projects related to ’The Last King’. The road to volume one, ‘The Witchwood Crown’, will be dotted with many Easter eggs, some of which will be announced after that September meeting. I'm really looking forward to this one!. This is a rarity. They played on a boat in Secaucus, NJ for a girl named Joan Blue's birthday party. Great memories of that show. The band played all the songs from this demo, plus lots of DRI covers. Hearing the intensity of this music for the first time got me interested in hardcore. The music is crossover thrash, and the bass player went on to play with M. There's Nothing Better. Inspirational Quote of the Day: "Bad Weather always looks worse through a window. We need to move out of all of last year's demo gear and everything must go. Overnite rain now giving way to patchy blue skies. Calm wind and a smooth ocean. Unfortunately I had people to pierce and had to get back to work so I sent the cake away with the boy so I could have it when I got back home.
Secondly this cake rocks.I love to bake and thanks to the cookbook Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World I'm not too bad at it therefore finding cake I'd be willing to pay for is a challenge.
